TARA organized a workshop at Bina, M.P. on 25th November 2015. The workshop was sponsored by Bharat Oman Refinery Limited (BORL) and conducted by TARA Livelihood Academy (TLA).

Sonu Dhakse, 25-yr-old from village Umarda, not only understands it, but lives it too. Dhakse, is not alone who has undergone this transformative journey from a confused youth to a well-disciplined professional. Students of First Batch of Gurukul Khandwa are now out in field chasing their dreams.
Gurukul is a TARA Livelihood Academy (TLA) and Fullerton India Credit Company Limited’s (FICCL) initiative to provide training and livelihood support to rural youth.

After organizing successful batches of CSR Level 1 training and WASH Level 1 training, TARA Livelihood Academy (TLA) delivered yet another highly informative and positively received certificate training programme on Geographic Information System (GIS). The two-day event was held on 10 & 11 September, 2015 at the Development Alternatives world headquarters in New Delhi.

HAMIRPUR: Continuing its approach to enable livelihoods by integrating aspirations, inadequacies and opportunities through a well synchronized eco-system, TARA Livelihood Academy (TLA) along with ‘Livelihoods under the Skill Development’ project by Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) is providing community training on beauty and wellness to women in the village .
TLA opened first of its kind ‘Yogyata Vikas Kendra’ in Hamirpur district of Uttar Pradesh on May 7, 2015. The guests for the inauguration ceremony were Mrs. Nalini Kaushal (Program Lead - Livelihoods & Skill Development, HUL), Mr. Vijay Chaturvedi (Vice President - TARA), Mr. Shachindra Kumar (FM - HUL, Sumerpur Factory) among others.

NOIDA: In an effort to meet burgeoning energy needs, Noida Power Company Limited (NPCL)
is building a 1 MW solar power plant and will enroll the support of women self help groups to
distribute the output generated through the plant. To be set up in Surajpur village in Greater Noida,
the plant is part of the NPCL's effort to fulfill the Ministry of Renewable
Energy’s mandate for procuring 4% of the total energy purchased from renewable sources.

Recently, Development Alternatives (DA Group) finished delivering its latest HP LIFE training
on the GET-IT curriculum. According to Madhuban K. Pandey, Sr. Manager at DA Group,
the training was “not just a regular training but an approach towards promoting entrepreneurship
among rural youth.” Madhuban explains that
it is necessary for youth to go through the entire process of becoming an entrepreneur.
