Luxmi Rani did her post graduation in commerce, but was still not getting a suitable job. Life became tough more so after her father’s death. Luxmi wanted to help her mother to expand her stitching business. She joined the Sewing Machine Operator course. She now helps her mother in the tailoring work, and at the same time has become a co-trainer with TARA Academy.

Rajni decided to take up tailoring as her profession. She dreamt of starting a boutique. She started looking for different tailoring options, but the fee they were charging was very high. She joined the Vocational Training Centre of TARA Academy. Rajni says, “I am thankful and grateful to TARA for building my confidence to achieve my goal, and motivating me to live my dreams.”

Reshma was going through a rough phase in her life. During this phase, TARA Academy gave her an opportunity to earn a living for herself and her family. She enrolled in the Sewing Machine Operator Course. She has now started her own boutique. She is quite satisfied with her life, and expresses her gratitude to TARA for providing her this opportunity to be independent.

Saniya is a 19 year old girl. She has three sisters, and the entire family earns through the cottage industry. However, the income is too low to fulfil the family’s basic needs. She decided to take up the Sewing Machine Operator Course, and soon learned the skills. She has now started taking up stitching work at home, and has started earning and supporting her family.

Nidhi Yadav’s passion was to gain expertise in the beauty and wellness sector. She joined the Assistant Beauty Therapist course. When she successfully completed her training, TARA Academy’s team absorbed her as a co- trainer. She says, “Training came as a ray of hope in my otherwise dull life. It seems as if the Centre has given me wings to fly.”

Uma Kumari’s family income was not sufficient to fulfil the demands of the household. She joined the Assistant Beauty Therapist course. Soon, she got a good hold over the subject, and started her own enterprise. Later, she was also employed at VLCC, Haridwar. Today, her parents and siblings are very proud of her.

Narendra Gangwane’s unemployed condition sensed him a cause of worry towards his future. He enrolled himself in the Micro Finance Executive course. Post training, he got a job in Fullerton India Gramshakti as the Group Credit Officer, and now earns close to 16,000 per month (including Incentives). His sister is happy and feels blessed that her brother has been guided towards a positive direction in life.

Pratibha, a 22 year old girl, enrolled for the Retail Trainee Associate Course. Initially, she was very shy, but with interactive activities and role plays, she gained confidence. Pratibha got selected at Big Bazaar, and earns Rs. 8000 per month (plus incentives). Her father states, “I want to see my daughter going ahead; and i wish, just like my daughter, more girls also make a good career.”
